Group Evaluation

As a group we worked well there where a few moments where we got confused but we pulled together. When we first started working together we organised several meets to discuss our idea. After our first meet and visit to the Sainsbury’s centre we decided to work on a Greek inspired plat former. We took inspiration from a Corinthian helmet. After finding our influence we looked into how we could make the game different. We thought about using hades as a main character so the game was from a bad guys point of view. After looking deeper into the story of the Corinthian helmet we decided to change our genre. We further developed the game idea into an moba (massive online battle arena) using league of legends, dota and infinite crisis.
Once we had the idea set we all got together twice a week in the su bar to develop ideas and help each other out while covering different parts for the project. We set tasks to each group member trying to work on their strengths. Matt was set the task to do the art work for the characters, lanes, environments and the maps. We gave matt help from David. David’s job was to work on the arcade mode and game screen shots. Beki was in charge of mechanics and hotkeys and Alexi did the story writing and character lore.
We feel that everyone worked up to the tasks that we set and we were even ahead of most other groups. We found working as a group a challenge as we had never done it before. But it was a good experience and we all agree that we would work together again. We were glad and felt lucky that we had a group that communicated and worked well together.
